An attempt at nonviolent communication
AI Sound Training | Creative Coding | VR Interaction | Sound Art | VFX Sound Visualization
An attempt at nonviolent communication” creates a genuine fantasy, an illusion that transcends boundaries between human and nature. Inspired by AI technology, which has aided scientists in discovering various sounds of ocean life and uncovering unknown creatures through sample analysis, I'm creating a real-time conversation between humans and the mysterious inhabitants of the deep sea within an immersive space. We collect audio samples from 153 fish species and 4 invertebrate species found in scientific databases. These audio samples are then transformed into visuals and rearranged using algorithms. Within this abstract soundscape, the stories of the underwater world unfold, encompassing the realms of war, crime, death, and also mating and love.
The project aims to explore the interconnectedness of humans, nature, and technology, focusing on how empathy can be transformed through underwater language that may make no sense to humans but can be interpreted by technology. This endeavor breaks down boundaries and creates a new channel of communication.
